The democrats are having an absolute fit over this, calling for the show to be pulled all together. It's great to watch. Why isn't anyone afraid that the democrats are attempting to control what we see???? Fascist at it's best from the left.
This is not about whether President Clinton blew some opportunity to catch OSB. He did no worse, or better, than any other Presiedent before or after in dealing with the terrorist threat. This is about freedom of expression. Once again we Democratics come off looking like hypocrites with this obvious double standard. The Docudrama shit cuts both ways, and if we are going to laud the Michael Moores of the world, then we must be prepared to see it from the other side. The fact is, Morres Farenheit 911 should have been shunned by the Democratic leadership rather than being embraced. We fucked ourselves for some short term gain and now must deal with the consequence. Best advice would be to let ABC show the fucking movie in it's entirety and move on.
It really illustrates the lack of any accountability in the media. The NY times can lie as much as they want without penalty. Chris Mattews won't even mention the Plame case because in his words "it's too complicated"- Apparently it wasn't too complicated to run something like 50 stories on it while it implicated Karl Rove but now that it absolves him he can't seem to "figure" it out to be able to hold a discussion over it. I see more harm than good by this mini series but the democrats are just a bunch of whiny bitches and can't take it. Z10 is suspisiously silent by the hijacking and attampted control of what we are able to see and the content so you know the complaints by the republicans and ABC have to have a great deal of validity. I'm sure z10 is hiding under his desk sulking at his parties sad attack on our freedoms.
Problem is there is too much media, period. They're all trying to out do and out scoop each other at the expense of the truth. I am a strong believer that Americans can accpet the truth, whatever it is, make the correct decision and move on. We don't get the truth from these bastards, we get opinions. That's what has this whole country fucked up...opinions from a very small segment of our society.
Not only that but the people on the left and on the right NEVER hold the outlets responsible for their misreporting. They just make excuses and justifacations and become apologists. The Z10's and sean hannities of the world are destroying this country.
If you can't see that there is nothing positive coming from either side of this problem, can't see that is a classic situation of "the pot calling the kettle black", and the name calling escalates the situation. Then you become part of the overall problem . . . not the solution.
That's exactaly what I said in the next post. There is no accountabilty or nothing positive that comes from either side. It's just blame, justify and become an apologist. Unfortunately most Americans have no voice or representation in the media. They just show the left wing nut jobs and the right wing nut jobs because they make good press. They repeadetly show the fringe people like Z10 and the Christian right and that's who has the voice. The center needs some representation and the media needs to be held to some kind of standard of objectivity and truth which clearly they are not.
