Clinton: Trump's voters are deplorable.

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Ditch, Sep 10, 2016.

  1. Let me respond in complete candor. I like Hillary Clinton. I don't think there is anything to the myriad of conspiracy theories about her; if they were valid they would have amounted to more than mere ongoing speculation by now, given the inordinate amount of scrutiny she has been subjected to by her many detractors. If the various conspiracy theories were actually proven to be true by legitimate arbiters, then my opinion would naturally change. But we're now speaking in hypotheticals. And even then, I would have to weigh that baggage against Trump's. If her baggage exceeded Trump's (a laughable proposition, but I will keep an open mind to incontrovertible evidence as compared to mere innuendo and wishful thinking), then I would have to speak against both of them, because I cannot envision a world where I would support Trump given what is already known about him beyond mere speculation.

If you guys were to shine the same spotlight on Trump that you relentlessly aim at Clinton, I doubt you'd like what you would see. Assuming, of course, that you're not a deplorable.

  2. Not really. She isn't singling out any demographics; she's referring to psychographics. And she's not saying that all of Trump's supporters fall into that basket. Only the bigots, xenophobes and so on, of which Trump's base has plenty. I imagine only they would be offended, since they like to operate under the cover of "real" Americans. Should she be tolerant of the intolerant? If she were, I wouldn't support her.

Within 24 hours she changed her stance on bigots, racists, sexists et al. Now she calls them people that are left behind by the economy. What a trainwreck this woman is.

I doubt any crazy leftist drone will even realize they were wrong to support her hate.

There was nothing wrong with the 47% statement. I agree with you on that one.

If there is nothing wrong with her statement, why is she making an attempt at an apology today?

If you knew anything about politics, you would realize that it was a mistake. Furthermore, it has been libtards whining about divisiveness. That was an extremely divisive statement.

We will see how and if it impacts her polling numbers.

  8. Not true. She just regrets saying that they represented about "half" of Trump's base. But she's not going to give that contingent any cover as Trump readily does.

Now back into the basket you go.

  10. I agree with her first characterization. They ARE bigots, racists, sexists with a grade school education who sweep floors and sell drugs for a living, beat their wives and children and spend Sundays watching TV and drinking beer. They are uneducated, unread, they smell bad, have rotting teeth and gigantic beer bellies. They are the worst of us. Especially YOU.
