Clinton on pace to win popular vote, despite losing election

  1. Yeah, I actually forgot what it felt like to be proud of my country for the last decade or so. It's like it was dark and rainy for the last 10 years and suddenly the sun came out of nowhere.

    They control 69 of 99 state legislatures, that's 70%
They just flipped 3 states on Tuesday and now control 33 of 50 state governors, that's 66%

    That's a mandate.

I was unhappy with liberal policies but still proud of my country. I'm grateful to Barrack Obama for killing OBL, something GWB was unable or unwilling to do.

Maybe he could use he lame-duckedness and just go ahead and whack Ayman al-Zawahiri in Islamabad where they know he is.

From a nationwide perspective I think Democrats need to take a deep look inside and try to understand why they are so out of touch with their rhetoric and policies... and why the country as a whole continues to slide to the right. After this they need to reform their platform so it is not focused on entitlement, minorities, and social agenda items but represents what is best for America as a whole.

Democrats have won the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 presidential elections, what they stand for isnt the problem imo.Thier problem is turn out and passing watered down progressive polices when they get power imo.I've reached the point where i no longer care if obamacare is repealed.

The problem with the Democratic Party is they were hijacked 20 years ago by the fringe left and Wall Street. Everything they've put out since has benefited only a fringe minority of the population at the expense of the middle class.

This election marked a tipping point as the base left DNC and went looking for someone who would listen and quit ramming up their back sides.

The GOP is no better, they lost their soul, disenfranchised their base.

The black vote didn't show up for Hillary because the DNC has failed miserably and has forgotten them. The democratic portion that flipped for Trump were the blue collar conservative dem's who likewise have suffered and have been forgotten.

The DNC has no one to blame but themselves, they ran a very flawed candidate, with a platform that benefited only a small section of their constituency.

Let him come here and defend what he wants. At some point he will need to come to the harsh realization that the Democratic party is badly in need of reform on a nationwide basis.

This being said - the Republican party is also facing the same issue -- but not to the degree of the Democratic party.
