  1. And still CO2 is a GHG. Nice fish.

greenhouse gases warm and cool the planet...
yet you can't even produce any science showing man made co2 is warming the planet.

American Chemical Society "tells the truth"...

"What are “greenhouse gases?” The transparent windows of a greenhouse (or a car parked in the sunlight) transmit the warming visible rays of the sun, prevent the resulting warm air from leaving, and hence maintain a warmer environment inside than outside the structure. In the Earth’s atmosphere, some trace gases absorb infrared radiation from the solar-warmed surface of the planet and transfer energy to the many other surrounding molecules. The result is Earth’s temperatures higher than they would be in the absence of these gases. The atmospheric gases and a greenhouse work in quite different ways, but the resulting effect, higher temperature in both cases, has led to the nomenclature “greenhouse gases” for the atmospheric gases responsible for the atmospheric warming effect. Although this nomenclature is misleading, it is in such common use that we use it here as well.

"Swedish chemist and 1903 Nobel Laureate Svante Arrhenius focused on this topic, posing it as the first question in his landmark 1896 paper. The paper sparked controversy at the time, but was later recognized as a pioneering contribution to the science of climate change as the first published research to attempt to quantify carbon dioxide’s (CO2’s) role as a greenhouse gas.

"Now, over a century later, the mention of greenhouse gas usually evokes thoughts of carbon dioxide (CO2). That’s mainly because changes in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere have been linked to the warming of the atmosphere over this past century. CO2 is an important greenhouse gas, and along with water vapor, keeps the Earth warm enough to support life as we know it. But there are many other gases (as well as substances like aerosol particles) that have roles in atmospheric warming and some of them have been emitted into our atmosphere largely as a result of human activity. They include methane, nitrous oxide, ozone, and halogenated gases. Some of these gases make significant contributions to changing the radiation balance of our planet.

"Other important information for understanding the role of greenhouse gases in climate science:"

    But, maybe they're not scientists.

    Now you are getting it.

  5. Yeah, guess they don't know that greenhouse gasses are called that because they cool the planet. You know, because greenhouses are cold. Jem will set them straight.

Obama Recycles 1974 Global Cooling Rhetoric
Obama: 'If we do not act forcefully, we’ll continue to see rising oceans, longer, hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods, and massive disruptions that can trigger greater migration, conflict, and hunger around the globe. The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security.'

Real Science website analysis: 'This is almost identical to what the CIA said about global cooling in 1974.'

Keep in mind that the left keeps telling us that they have conclusive proof that scientists thought global warming was the real problem back then and global cooling was just a media driven construct. But here we have the CIA regurgitating the global cooling nonsense.

It's necessary to cover up lies with more lies.

  7. Oh, so CO2 is not a GHG ?

To be fair, other factors could in theory mitigate the effects of rising CO2. It is not enough to merely say it's a GHG, but maybe you're just saying that in lieu of posting cartoon counter-punches. : )

you know you see no citation to any science in that article.
its pure speculation based on failed not science.
the speculation did not prove out.

plus you left out the point... and the concluding paragraph...

Remark: “The Earth has certainly been warming since we have added so much CO2 to the atmosphere from fossil fuel burning.”

Reply: “Forget the CO2. Water vapor is the most important greenhouse gas. It controls the Earth’s temperature.”

Read the final paragraph the one where they admit water vapor and clouds might really be the driver and they have no idea about clouds.
    I can tell you why.

Low clouds around the equator reflect a good deal of warming rays from the sun back up while high clouds trap heat.

and the scientists are really not sure what if any impact greenhouse gases have on the formation of clouds near the equator... however there is some evidence they may create more. So the agw nutters say they need to do more studies.

I have linked to these recent studies and findings in the past.
the NASA website says they need to do more studies on clouds.
