Clemency bid denied for gang killer

  1. 1) It was thought by most informaed persons both inside the US (both political parties) and outside the US that Saddam either had WMDs or was developing them. Had he played it straight with the UN then we have had the possibility of knowing that WMDs or rograms to develop them were not present in Iraq. However he played the UN and the world for a decade and since the UN wasn't going to jack shit about (many top countries were taking personal bribes from Saddam not to) the US stepped up to the plate. Yes no WMDs were found so in hindsight that reason for war turned out incorrect. Bush also stated that Removing Saddam from power was a war objective. And he was successful in that. I'll grant you that your first statement is 25% correct.

    2) I agree that unfortunatly the average Iraqi citizen is the pawn in the game. They are now suffering for the mistakes of Saddam. I read a recent statement some where (I forget sice I did not think I would need the information in a discussion later) that while the majority of Iraqis do not approve of the presence of American troops soemething like 82% belive that their future will be betterr now than when Saddam was in power. The Iraqi citizens have a lot of repair to not only their infrastructure but the way of thinking and the belief that they can make a difference in the outcome of their country now instead of it being dictated to them. Some will get it before others and some will never get it. Those of catch on quicker will most likely be the ones who suceed the quickest. It is much like it is here in the US. Those that believe they can get ahead and have a say in their lives and actually practice what they belive usually are the most successful. Sometimes you must sacrifice a little to gain a lot. In this case the Iraqis are sacrificaing quite a bit to gain more than they or most others can comprehend.

    this is typical.

someone loses an argument and they start getting personal!!

dont worry about the confusion you are feeling 007. its a normal healthy reaction when our beliefs are challenged and proved wrong. we get fearful.

never turn that fear into hate.

embrace this uncertainty you are feeling. learn not to resist and you will see the world in a different light and the force will be with you

    peace n love!

dont worry - he only said i should be on the comedy channel - not that bad. however the force is strong in me, and i sensed that this could be the beginning of the slippery slope.

i have no hard feelings towards 007, regardless of what he thinks of me. i understand that his views are not really his own, but those of fox tv.

keep it positive 007 - youre a good dude - dont slip to the other side.

  8. I have the severe mental issue? I'm not the one who raped a little girl and then murdered her. If you can't see that this guy is evil then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you should take him into your home and "rehabilitate" him. This guy was already incarcerated and let out. They considered him fit to enter society again. Then he committed this heinous crime. Maybe the insane person is the one who thinks that a person like this can change.

  9. I agree that we should be damn sure when we execute someone that he was guilty.

But this doesn't answer my question.

    Is it worth it?

  10. You forgot the pay per view, execution rights, and give the money to the families of those he killed.

Or am I being too mean to the convicted murderer?
