Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaiâi, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaiâi State Department of Health has Sen. Obamaâs original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.â It is understandable that after such an apparently definitive statement most news outlets, whether conservative or liberal, would accept this as sufficient grounds to relegate the controversy to the status of a fringe phenomenon. Unless they happened to take the trouble to look into the âstate policies and proceduresâ as laid down by the relevant statutes. If they had done so, they would have seen that Dr. Fukinoâs press release was carefully hedged and âlawyeredâ and practically worthless. But the media in general should not be faulted. You people keep saying he refuses to release his long form birth certificate,HAWAII DOES NOT ISSUE THOSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When a request is made for a copy of a birth certificate, the DOH issues a Certification of Live Birth. Although original birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth) are preferred for their greater detail, the State Department of Health (DOH) no longer issues Certificates of Live Birth. The Honolulu Advertiser published photostats of the original long-form birth certificates of twin daughters born to Eleanor Nordyke at Kapi'olani Maternity and Gynecological Hospital Aug. 5, 1961, one day after Obama was supposedly born at the same facility. The Nordykes' certificates include information missing from the short-form document for Obama published online, including the name of the hospital, the name of the attending physician, name and address of the parents, the race of the parents and the race of the baby.

Plus if you notice on the picture of the long form they use the term Caucasian for the race of the mother. That sort of blows that they would have put the race of his father as African out the window

I'm not sure who you refer to as "you people," but it would seem if the halfrican would just release the vaulted original for inspection, this would all go away. Instead, he spends millions and a vast amount of wasted energy to hide not only his original birth certificate, but his school records as well. This only leads to justifiable suspicion to those who are not blind followers. And rightly so. Therefore, the real question being raised here is not about who or who doesn't believe the copy of a birth certificate is legitimate, but rather what exactly is the halfrican hiding, and why is he hiding it?
