  4. Hugh- The Oak Ridge Boys aren't bad but if you want true Gospel you ought to go right to the King. On the other hand if you want true Gospel music it is hard to beat the King (of Rock and Roll).

    Elvis presley and the Jordanaires

Nutmeg- You have two good selections. Joan Baez and Mimi Farina have a beautiful version of Wayfaring Stranger but I have not seen it on Youtube. I like the Cajun stuff. Country/ western can come in any language.

    Gene Autry
    El Rancho Grande

I remember Elvis singing How Great Thou Art. When I was in elementary school in the 1970s Mrs. Horsback would come and we would all gather in the cafeteria and she would play the little wall piano and we would all sing gospel songs, and the one we sang every time was How Great Thou Art.

Back then there weren't any students coming to school with a gun to blow people away. We were taught right from wrong. If you did wrong, you got your ass whipped with a paddle, so loud the whole school could here it. And when you graduated and were sent out into the world, you knew right from wrong. Nowadays nobody knows right from wrong. If someone walks into a school and shoots people, they blame the gun, they blame the laws, they blame eveybody but the person who did the shooting. Nobody knows right from wrong anymore, nobody accepts responsiblity, If you were taught in a little brick shcoolhouse in Appalachia, and you went to the First Baptist Church in Pineville Kentucky, you knew right from wrong. You were taught, You wer held accountable, We don't have that anymore and its a goddam shame
