Are you short lol. Yes the gov can manipulate the stats. But CPI is CPI. Sure it may not reflect the complete true picture. But what’s been happening in the past years and decades is that technology and globalization has accelerated the concentration of wealth going to the top of the pyramid while the general population base has not seen much wage growth. Without higher demand of consumer goods the prices cannot rise much.
