Then maybe you placed that stop while you were in a trade and it became part of your ATM, so when you closed the position, it got canceled and you didn't notice because it was outside your DOM's visible range (it's happened to me, but then again, I'm sure you're smarter , so maybe it's something else). Needless to say (then why say? - I contradict myself), check your log.
I panicked and should be flogged. I'm an embaresment to my family and this thread. I should know if it feels good it is probably wrong.
Oh come now, anyone trades crude oil surely cannot be embarrassed easily. If it makes you feel any better, I made $10.76 trading CL today, two early pre-market trades targeting breakouts, both back to b/e on failures, then I didn't trade it the rest of this beautiful short-at-any-point-and-watch-money-fall-from-the-sky day; yes I was actually short @ 79.33 at 8:11 am ET. Looking back at the chart now and thinking of that big scary 13-tick stop I had on the initial position and the fact that price took one small look back at that stop price, made an ugly face, blew a raspberry at it and never even came within spitting distance of it the rest of the day... OK, I should be flogged.
crazy how this game messes with your mind. cash is king and with it we just have to take advantage of opportunities tomorrow.
Don't beat yourself up, RA. After all there are only two kinds of people in this world: those who have done some crazy shit trading oil and those who have never traded oil. Today is another day.
not even going to watch going golfing once rain stops! I have another order to add 1 more QM at 75.50 which a 50% fibo from 5/25 to 8/4 the only thing that bothers me is there is only 6 days left for this pos
Not trying to tell you how to trade, RA, but wasn't something like this what got you into trouble yesterday (leaving orders on while going to hit some balls)?
