There you go, maaasssterrrr EUR and NQ lagging their buddies ES and YM had a gap down that it seems they needed to fill (NQ gapped up and filled at the beginning of the session). Gold, Aussie HO, RB made new highs but all lacked the ooomph to run the stops In CL I don't see a clear, narrow level other than slightly over the HOD where shorts will cry uncle (same as to the downside, next stop seems too far away).
I was looking to get long at a failed breakdown of 82.00, but I don't really see either the time, the volume or the singalong by the equities... But then again, you're way more nimble than me.
Nah, what I really have to do is take my trades when I see them at the beginning of the session, instead of hesitating and freezing like a deer in the headlights. Over the last few weeks I've been missing clear trades (some winners, some losers) early on in the session, only to force myself to take substandard trades later, many times chasing price - and getting all jumpy. But thank you for the nudge, I appreciate it.
I am in the same boat.........the only difference is my slump is being for month!......before that I used to make between 50 cents and a dollar per contract a day for a period of 3 months, but I am in the same boat than you, I believe is mental, if this week go bad for me I am seriously thinking on taking a break, it usually helps, when we are in a losing streak to stay away for week or two.
well, i am not usually a conspiracy theorist, but some of these econ numbers.....nobody is selling before the announcement, and this seems counter intuitive: why would you go long or short into some of these numbers like housing which have been all over the place (unless of course, you have heads up what the econ reports will say) so i think on some of these reports gs has inside info which would be very easy to do based upon the price action before a report that was either buying into a report, which the report ended up being a surprise reading.......big boys don`t take chances on that stuff....if they are buying into a report....you probably should be too on another note: we have had 3 days of short squeezes after 1:05 cst friday, monday, and today....this has resulted in cl being way overbought......of course it can stay overbought for awhile, but it is setting up for a nice sell-off as these levels are short induced highs right here.
Yes, they've been partly short squeezes and yes we're probably overbought, but consider also that some of those entering late in the session are position and seasonal traders getting long because we're breaking resistances in a period that - everything else being equal - is bullish.
