Thanks Kid. I'm re-reading the book (it seems the first time I didn't quite get it - either that or his method is untradable by scared little girls )
the presentations are a good primer. I then just browsed the book, maybe I should read it throughly Also a new one at big Mikes http://www.bigmiketrading.com/webinars/june21_2010/al_brooks_price_action/
But, Picaso, I trade his method all the time One of the best things I got out of Al's book is traps. These are especially common in the afternoon, but can also happen close to test of major highs/lows. Price bar sets up to look like a juicy short or long, then goes the other way. I just called one of those when the 2:20pm bar closed, looking like an internal double top short signal. I didn't trade it long because too close to NYMEX close, but I'm sure it sucked in a lot of shorts to fuel the move up.
That is a good idea! I'll look into options for swings. Nothing to hang your hat on right now based on the daily chart, though. If anything looks potentially bullish.
You play(ed) with snakes and spiders, so you don't count (When you say 2:20 bar, etc. you mean the bar that starts at 2:20 and ends at 2:25, right? - I was going crazy, but let's face it, in my case that's easy). I'm sure half the people that have bought Al Brooks' book have done so after reading your journal & posts. You should get a commission ... unless... oh, my gosh!... that explains it all!
