hey guys, never posted on this thread before, but saw all the talk about slippage in CL which has been an issue for me. Not really sure how much I can size up on my current timeframe without too much impact. Fairly new to CL, so haven't experimented with it too much, but any info would be appreciated. I am generally scalping, with 0.06 stops and targets anywhere over 0.12, generally over 0.20 though. Thanks! Hey nod, long time no see!
Hey Cher! Good to see you're still kicking. When practicing in sim, I found slippage on stop entries bad with CL until EON_Kid advised me to place orders a tick or two inside the breakout level. No problems with slippage when doing that live and I've done it quite a few times lately.
Sounds good nod, thanks. Ya, I moved to S. America for a while, and was trading from down there (was two hours ahead of NYC, so quite nice). Back on the west coast now, and not wanting to keep london session hours for trading euro anymore, so moving to CL. Haven't been on ET in probably a year or so, but will be poking around for CL related stuff now. Sorry for interrupting the journal guys, back to regularly scheduled programming...
If your just moving in or out of the market you could say to move the market you need 15-20contracts to move .01
