back on and I see I got filled near my target at 7322.5, +102 cents. Not bad but wish I had the time to sit at the computer all day as I see there was a chance to repeat the move 2 hours later. But then again, if I was at my desk I may have bailed much earlier and not have gotten my target. I am trying to swing the trades a little more than scalping them as crude is a tough b*tch to figure out which is why lately I prefer to trade the mini's as (I mentioned this yesterday) there is more than enough movement in crude to realize some decent gains even trading the mini's and it allows for wider stops which gives a trade more of a chance to develop. It doesn't move penny for penny of the big contract but if I am targeting 50 or 100 from entry, it gives me enough to play with.
Thx, but like they say, even a broken clock is right twice every day. Still, feels nice for 10 minutes of "real" work.
That's right. You would have. Guaranteed. The only way to let winners run is to place a bracketed OCO order with stop and target, then leave once the trade is on, go into a coma once the trade is on, or have a major power outage that disables all your backup contingency plans once the trade is on.
I'm in a bitchy mood today. But I'm very happy that you had the sense to ignore your trade until your target was lifted! CL taunted me today. It gave me a $176 consolation trade after running away from me and saying "Catch me if you can, bitch!" Then it ran away from me again saying "Nanny, nanny boo-boo!". It knows I hate chasing entries and placing $400 stops.
