What would be considered the day session for CL? from what time to what time?

We are the masters of the universe after all... Thoughts become things on every level, our trading results included.

    hey Guys/Gals,

Just wanted to say I enjoyed posting today and the feedback from you. It's humbling to be just starting in this market when most of you seem to have been here for years. I'm looking forward to watching/learning from you.

    Thanks!

  4. Then be sure not to overlook the magic of crystals, pyramids and magnets. There are people who swear by them, too. :p

Who sez I was leaving? By the way, all markets need their pimp daddies. As I'm told, market is the biggest whore since it's job is to screw as much traders as possible.

Ya just might call it a beginner's luck, but I haven't had a single losing month since I made the switch to CL last October. However, I hit a snag this month with a flat-as-a-pancake performance thus far. I don't know how much I can handle all this churning. So back to the drawing board as it were.

As far as reliability is concerned, it has nothing to do with volatility. I actually welcome volatility. That is the only reason why I left ES for CL in the first place. I couldn't stand ES's 5-point daily range. My real gripe with CL is that while it's "technically" friendly, it's moves are chaotic. Sometimes it adheres to S/R; sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes, it works superbly with trendlines; sometimes it doesn't.

But then, who knows, maybe it's just me. After this brief hiatus, I hope to come back little more mature and wiser (as far as trading is concerned).

  6. Hey, mrbochin23

Sounds and "looks" like your 99.999% there.

You obviously have a GREAT system.... What, or Why don't you trust?

How much "discretion" is involved? I've found in my trading discretion was the hardest indicator to adjust. I quit, (and I think you will too), trying to "out smart" one of the fastest CPUs (available to the public) in the WORLD!!

    You GOT IT, TRADE IT!

If you want a book to read, I'll suggest "Trading in the Zone"

    Keep up the,

    Good trading

    All times are EST.

The pit session begins at 9:30 AM and ends at 2:30 PM. However it trades 24 hours on the Globex (minus the daily maintenance schedule between 4:15 - 5:00 PM).

Be that as it may, you should note that some flurry of activities start to pick up following the release of economic numbers at 8:30 AM.

While you may see some moves, it's usually damn slow from 5:00 PM until the European markets open at 3:00 AM. Americans are biased towards Asians. Damn yankees!
