I have never followed any one live calls. I do however look at other traders posts at the end of the day and see if i can pick up some pointers. Hi , if Visara or No Doji are short at 104 and i am long at 104 and CL falls 100 ticks- i need to figure out what they were thinking and what did i miss? Maybe i ask them a question and they help clarify etc. This is all i am interested in and all i can offer ( I doubt anyone will ask for help from me- who wants to take a trade with 100 ticks stop loss, adding to position etc? i never did till i reached a point to draw my own conclusion) I doubt many traders trade like me, so my LIVE calls have little value to begin with. Every trader has different risk profile. Traders worry too much about stop loss. Elte trader forums and internet across the board are also full of posts like short 103.80, stop loss 103.94 etc. Nothing wrong with that but a post like this focused on stop loss is primarily relevant to the trader who took the trade based on his/her risk profile. It has no value what so ever for other traders because their risk profile is different, their equity is different, their use of leverage is different ( i use very little leverage) and on and on. Neither do my posts have any value for other traders except ( may be) from time to time they pick some pointers or look at things differently what they are used to. If fellow traders can collectively help each other in terms of picking right direction/trend of a move- that's worth in gold. If i was type of trader who is all in and all out ( at one point i was like that) it would have been easier to post. But i have plenty on my plate to worry about vs wondering if there is someone out there in internet jungle waiting to latch on to my so called live call. Hopefully trades from this morning will make one understand why it's useless to focus on some one else so called live calls. NOTE: If the readers of this thread want so called live trades, i will throw something out there from time to time. stop loss is always disaster stop loss and there is no way for me to post adding here and taking off there. I tend to trade around a permise till proven wrong. Some of it i picked from Visaria posts .
I took a leaf out of your book, mfbreakout. Shorted at 10287 during the night (had a limit order in)......just exited at 10130
Well done. I was short 102.89 but chickened out because i do not recall many trades i took during Globex seesion and they turned out to be fruitful. However, i do not mind shorting into the so called HOLE either. 1) so short NY open. 2) Cover , waited a long time and reshorted 101.93. Covered and mostly done - unless CL comes up for another push down. Mark Fisher 100%, some of Al brooks, No Doji, Visara and picked some pointers from other traders. Every time i listen to Al Brooks, i get a headache but lot of other things give headache with no benefits. At least Mr. brooks gave some benefits gainst headaches. I wish his presentations were joy to listen to like Mark Fisher but not every one can be Mr. Fisher. They all have ONE thing in common- SIMPLE CHARTS. NOTE: Mark Fisher method is not easy to grasp either. I am just a student at this point and have been for last 3 years.
Some traders ONLY take joy when they see some lossess. No one likes to see just gains. Here is one from TF but since then it has turned into DARK GREEN and then some.
still holding runner on short from 101.93? Why - because i have not seen any buyers yet. Was waiting for CL to bounce around 101.70 area to add to short but no go plus lunch chop zone time was a factor for not adding to short.
