Sorry BP, but I'm just a simple trader who follows the price on the chart. Other than that, I have no idea what is going on with the market or, for that matter, what is driving the market. Frankly, I can care less what the reasons are since I find them redundant. As far as I'm concerned, everything is already baked into the price, whether it's fairly priced or not. But coming from the ES arena, I must concede that this beast doesn't comply to any other rule but its own. It doesn't quite move in the same way as you'd normally see in other markets like ES. Of course, today was an exception where it shot straight up from the open to the close.
I was not talking about u, schizo. I was referring to the big players who moved the market with hundreds of contracts at a time. The big players gave us small traders a hard time, they pushed it up by 20-30 cents within 30 seconds, and then brought it down by 50 cents in the next minute. I watched them bringing it down by almost a dollar within 15 minutes this afternoon. Small traders without discipline just get killed by these guys.
And the oil expert chimes in and provides a very well thought out, detailed response. This bp character's posts about oil should be taken w/ a grain of salt. He posted recently about what contract to even be trading... but he knows how the big boys trade. SURE. The action was wild on the CL today, no doubt, but some previous S/R areas were tested and provided a couple decent trades. No need to catch every single move to make a few bucks on the CL.
Alright folks, let's stick to the rules that were laid laid out at the outset, of which personal criticism is discouraged. What BPtrader expressed was merely his own grievance towards the market, however trivial it may be, and I don't believe that alone should elicit anyone's protest. Of course, whether we should take him with a grain of salt is another matter. I should also fess up that "saliva" and "schizo" are the two evil twins of the same coin. I wanted to limit the use of the former to ES and the latter to CL. But I'm too damn lazy to log in and out, switching between Jekyll and Hyde as it were. Also being a slob that I am, I will eventually make the Freudian slip that will blow up my cover more sooner than later. So, what the heck, it's better that I give away my identity now than later. Well, now you know, so enjoy your stay!
