Ggrrr, WTF is "AA-"? just how many A's are there? Can't they simply rate using the A, B, C, D, F system?

When I was in school, no teacher gave me FF+ when I flunked my math exam!

Though I don't normally trade on Friday - this week has been a mess as I was sick on Wed and then woke up late on Thursday.

Today I decided to not bother about in the morning CL and I had freeze - up on Ninja, so I didn't sell near the open as planned. So far I had one botched trade and have re-entered short at a lower price than I closed my botched trade.

In any case, I think a nap is in order as my health is more important to me than this.

Orders are as shown on the graph and I may (or may not) wake up before the close to adjust things as required. If not have a nice weekend everyone! :)

May the force be with you!:D

  7. Hi Tonka

Perhaps you're correct in that I am taking it the wrong way.
I have traded for many, many years.
When I say I'm learning I mean in the sense of eternal learning as Gann advised when he was 67 and had amassed over 55 million.

Once of the things I love about investing is the flexibility.

There are many, many, ways to do it. I have seen successful investors using widely different methods (and others using the same methods and unsuccessful).

I know that there is no "ONLY way" (caps were Bt's) - and I latch onto phrases by anyone seeking to put themselves mentally above me.

Better phrased with your understanding of Bt would be something like:
'In my opinion conservation leverage practices are the key to trading longevity."

------ the following is general and certainly not specific to Bt's post:

No one on this forum should consider themselves "out-of-school" in my opinion nor should they try to bend another to "their way is the only way".

I will consider myself successful when I am a multimillionaire and have moved onto other goals in my life. Until then I am still "in school"

I doubt there are any multimillionaires from trading who are still hanging out on the internet. They should be onto more meaningful goals in life, IMO.

It has always amazed me that people who have traded for several years have never computed how much they would have if they were consistently and compounding their contracts.

In the ES, for example, making 7 pts a day ie 35pts a week, compute it and compound it out on a weekly basis. (say $0.35 per day on CL or $1.75)

Once you do this exercise, you will never again see others as whose who know.

    We have often heard:
    "With God all is possible."
"Gather treasures that neither rust nor rot but rather those that are eternal in the Kingdom of Heaven"
"Place no other Gods before me" - I think this includes both Mamon and Science.
    "Pride goeth before the fall"

I am not here to engage in discordant argumentation.
Being at a forum is not my purpose in key purpose in life.

When someone has shown me their consistent results, then I will ask that person for their thoughts.

IMO, at the end of the day we must all make our own decisions and trade in our own way. As Gann said "no man can trade another mans system." " He must prove it out for himself."

  10. "What we have here, is a failure to communicate"

The problem with electronic communication is no visual feedback, no voice inflection, etc.....

When you think about it the visual and audio part of communication are the most important parts in regards to understanding "where" someone is coming from.

Pretend you hears the words "I love you" coming from 2 different people the first your Mom, the second from Hannibal Lecter.

Hearing it from your Mom (should) make you feel warm and comforted,
hearing it from Hannibal Lecter (should) send chills up and down your spine.

So maybe we can cut each other some slack, take it back to DEAFCON 5.

FYI: Movies and popular culture often misuse the DEFCON system by "going to DEFCON 5" during a state of emergency. In fact, DEFCON 5 is the lowest state of readiness.
