It should be in the instrument manger - no fees or enablements required. You should contact their support if it is not working.
I had problems with this too EON Kid and still am. I just added it in the instrument manager and it does show up in the SuperDOM. But the chart displays no historical data only the latest candlestick. Now I see this response in the NT Forums. http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/forum/showthread.php?t=39881&highlight=BRN Hello, Unfortunately, historical BRN data will not be supported on a CQG connection since it is a ICE (Nybot) product. You will receive real-time data which will be stored a historical, however it will not be collected from a historical data server for periods in which you were not connected to real-time data. To ensure your real-time data is being saved, please go to Tools--> Options--> Data tab--> check "Save Chart Data as Historical". --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who is your data provider OldDickson? We have Zen-Fire.
In the hindsight ( for me ) that is true , only Brent stopped it from sell off many times in the day today With gaddafi exit strategy news flying , the first trading day ( after news) it is very hard for any big funds to have new fresh BUYs at these high 108 (overbought level ), just this lack of BUY action is good enough for sell off trigger ( LOw volume is evident for last couple of sessions ) .
I was just joking about that trade, based on the "potentially bearish" post that was made. I don't hold overnight and certainly wouldn't hold 6 lots overnight I only play breakouts of high/low of the day in well-defined trend. Today was not a high/low breakout day because price kept making strong retraces back and forth through the 20-bar moving average (basically it was a wide range day, and quite indecisive). Buying/selling highs/lows in price action like this is low probability. Breakouts of floors/shelves (ascending/descending triangles) or flags, or trend line breaks have better odds on wide swinging days. In a well-defined trend I try to get positioned early for the breakout of the previous high/low (buying or selling the pullback). If for some reason I miss out, I'll jump in during the momentum approach to the high or low to avoid slippage. The timing can be tricky doing this. Price usually makes an excited approach, then pulls back, then starts in again. You want to get in just before the break, not too early. I watch the DOM closely for signs of mounting fear and greed in the price action. I've used stop orders, but the downside of actually placing a stop order outside the high or low is the slippage factor, which lately has been nasty in CL.
Hi CL traders, I have been a little worse than a breakeven trader for a while now, mostly automated trying to come up with extremely complex indicator ridden strategies that work great until market conditions change and get killed. Having a programming background I thought this was the way to go about it. NoDoji's posts have taught me how simple setups can be. I still can't program them to behave correctly, but just trading the few she has posted with the thought process behind them has opened my eyes and made me slightly profitable even. I feel sure I have wasted a couple of years of my life trying to create the ultimate indicator to base a trading program from at this point. Anyway I made about a 50 page book out of her posts that were most helpful to me and have included the charts that are talked about where I could. I thought I would share it with this thread (hope that's ok) it's great stuff.
Got a PM that the zip file wasn't downloading right for some reason.. so I uploaded the word doc to the below url, it's the No Doji ET.doc link towards the bottom. (sorry there are ads on the page but it was a free upload site) and it's too big to upload here unzipped. edit: think the download problem is just a firefox 4 issue (worked fine on ie), if you give it a .zip extension after it is downloaded in ff4 it will open http://www.sendspace.com/file/f3x23f
