The advisory was the latest news report to spook investors worried about the mounting human and economic toll from last week's earthquake, which damanged some nuclear reactors. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DOWJIA) was down 282 points, or 2.4%, at 11,574, led by 4% losses in IBM (NYSE:IBM) and General Electric (NYSE:GE) shares. It briefly turned lower for the year. The S&P 500 (CME:INDEX:SPX) was off 2.3% at 1,252, down 0.4% for the year. The Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQ:COMP) was down 2.1% at 2,610, off 1.6% for the year.
