Thanks - It looks like you've got some expertise reading sonagrams. I remember seeing on when my wife was pregnant almost 30 years ago. I kept thinking - If the doc can see a baby here, they should be a market trader Wife and I are mulling options to mesh with the kids plans Picaso's got some good suggestions to get more screen exposure; Confidence comes from a number of things: Backtesting; Screen time; SIM; good money management rules, etc. The name of the game (as far as I'm concerned) is to keep evolving, because markets evolve all the time. Nice analysis - Your screen name summarizes the most principal quality required to engage markets. I remember watching floor traders from the gallery at NYMEX many years ago. The floor still seems to have a strong ability to push CL all over the board during RTH. I believe this is the underlying basis for your observations regarding performance in the face of bearish fundamentals. The monthly expiration cycle also seems to play a role in price gyrations Good Trading Week to all - May want to strap in cause it's looking like a wild ride
Isn't that what we love most about this contract? I never traded anything else where price literally falls or flies off the DOM while you're in a trade
Exactly NoD. This is not for the faint of heart but once you embrace those moves, you can really enjoy those breakouts that go 20+ ticks before you blink.
ND, I use ib`s booktrader, there are things i really like about it, button trader just doesn`t feel right to me, but have investigated nTrader much more there are things i don`t like like having to use control keys for certain stop designations, i don`t want a keyboard at all in my trading...i know there are hotbuttons that could probably be configured (i like booktrader buttons that i click on and then do the stops----when i utilize them..................for 1k lifetime fee i will probably get it just to have the record feature, as far as I know ib cannot be recorded for going back over the market activity. With previous version ob tws i am fine, but the newer releases have a bug and the booktrader won`t stay on top of my chart even with the pushpin enabled, which if they don`t get this fixed i may have to switch for that reason alone. also, ntrader may have better charts then ib, and that may be one benefit to switching, but the major downside for me is that i don`t want a bunch of extra complicated garbage with running a front end and still using ib for forex, i like their forex screen...i have that up for spot forex. along with charts of the major crude related currecncies......i may just buy it try it and not use it because overall i like my current setup, just needs some improvement by ib to tweek some of their newer versions. The popup gives me some trouble on price with some of my scalps, where price leaves me because of it, and sometimes it is even 3 cents lower, and i have started about 50 percent of the time to cancel and lower price, but they still need to get that thing off of there by 2011, they should work out any patent crap with tt by then. sorry this is a little scattered but i am trading and this is why i don`t post while i am trading....do both poorly.

that was a good trade, the fact that europe opened an hour later to day light savings time hurt that trade,.
Yes, Put it on in no mans land - Coming back to the game not familiar with CL on Globex yet Didn't pull the trigger on the NG seasonal cause the spreads are too wide on Globex. But its sitting there waiting. At this point I'm a pumpkin (up all night) - Time for a nap - I'm off till Friday morning so hopefully I can do some day trading this week Good Trading All
