I think it chops around this level to the close , then follows the ES to the depths of hell, near the ES close cya Monday
yes. Quite a tough day. that +40 puts me up now on oil and im BE on my currency futures trading. No ES trades today. Yesterday was first losing day in quite a while. Hopefully next week gets back to normal.
I admire your flipping spirit, but I am curious of your flipping technique. PM me about your flipping technique, I may be able to help.
Out of all CL positions and done for the day. Lost $180 screwing around scalping....lucky i escaped with such minor losses, the technique twas not pretty and could have turned out ugly. Up about $5k on SCO over the past two days, however....gotta stick to swing trading.
Thanks for the invitation but I would much rather have an open discussion. The only reason why this thread was created in the first place was to have ideas flowing that could, hopefully, help traders like myself. By the way, what is it about my flipping technique that you're interested in? Obviously, you shouldn't expect me to divulge much detail about my system. But I'd be happy to go over any question you might have. Today was a disaster. I was up quite nicely this morning but ended up losing all and then some by the close. One thing that's been baffling me is that there isn't much of a "clean" trend. As such, I often don't take profit early enough or, worse, get out too early only to see the market continue without me. So in disgust I dash back in but then what do you know? The damn thing reverses on me. That pretty much sums up this ill-fated day for this noob.
It looks to me that most of you guys run waay to tight of a stop loss and try to scalp in the midday noise. I used to do similar but now I try to put a trade on going with the general direction of the market that day. So if im short I look for a blowoff bottom in the intraday, long look for the opposite
