My friend and I were in the midst of deciding whether to place buy stops there and off it went. There was a sudden spread between bid/ask just before the break and the value opportunity to enter was gone just like that. Gotta have those orders in place early!

Hey, boobs, nips and cleavage is over at ES Journal :D

There were nice opps into the NYMEX close. I shorted one pullback and then decided to call it a day, missed the even better second entry off that DT!

What's up with CL? Just went flying up. 75.99 News? Short @ 75.93 BTW. And cover 75.88. Quick scalp. Took another look at the chart. :)

Is this the "hooters" thread? :D

Yes, Nod, if you look at a 15 minute chart from the distance it looks great, lots of volatility, a couple of moves over 1 point, several over half, etc. but when you look closer or at a 5 minute chart you see that it had an incredible amount of back-fill for CL, almost no large clean moves, so if you're either trying to add or waiting for confirmation you're going to get stopped out at a loss very often, only to see the trade move in your favor right away.

I take my hat off at you lady for making your customary 500 bucks (that's a dare by the way :p) on such a difficult day.

    Of course, in hindsight, today was a scalper's paradise: ping-pong, ping-pong, ping-ooops-average-up/down-in-this-trade-and-then-ping-pong-ping-pong...

Well, $385 of my bucks came from one clean trade near the NYMEX open and $195 of my bucks came from one clean trade near the NYMEX close, and then in between the 5-min chart looked like one of the scary chapters with tentacles from "Reading Price Charts Bar By Bar".

I don't think a day like today was difficult for riskaddict ("Shorting until until price finally quivers and falls before me in abject fear.") or cst ("long: right now, stop: place price won't ever go, target: much higher"), but for my prissy-ass tight-stop trading style, it was just plain annoying.

  9. covered half of what I had leftover from yesterday at 75.10.

Looking to unload last measly qm at 74.40ish based on that horly TL. If TL holds I'll just be trading KC and ES because it'll take a couple days for the short bias to leave my brain.
