Hey B1S2! I'm short oil at 71.45 with a 30 tick stop and a 200 tick profit target. Looking for a pullback 69.25 to 69.50 for a long trade. I didn't know you had a CL journal 'til yesterday and just found it now. You limit who can see your profile so finding your threads can be a bit difficult. Good luck to you! Edit: I take half off at 50 ticks profit if I get it and let the other half run as close to target or stop as it goes.
In my view, it doesn't make sense to be short here except on a very short term basis. Hope you do well. I like pullback.
I agree, B1S2. I closed 1/2 out at +50 ticks, and the runners are showing 91 ticks of open trade equity as of the Globex close. You and I trade a different time frame is all, B1S2. I trade swings that last hours to days, whereas you seem to favor swings that last days to weeks, or even months. The nice thing is the market is big enough to accomodate the both of us. Closed the remaining shorts overnight for +100 ticks. So far the retrace went to 70.88 and then drop to 70.70, and I have a sell limit to open a new short at 70.78 with a 20 tick stop and 50 tick and 100 tick targets. Currently offered at 70.77 and looking for that 70.78 fill. GLYA (Good luck y'all)
Agreed, but it’s super uncertain. Energy as a whole is stalling.. I don’t have a ton of conviction on this long, so I have a small line out there and my stop isn’t too far away. Looking to swing the bottom (ish) into to a position. If it fails, I’m out wtic until the debris settles.
Pricing continues higher and I expect it to drift upwards as I continue rolling long each month. Current pricing is 73.19.
