So you ignored my questions on specifics, again. Let the record show that both people in this thread (Piezoe and Futurecurrents) who suggested some sort of federal buyback program and/or registration programs have no idea how to make these things happen and have ignored repeated requests for specifics behind these ideas. Thus, they are not solutions, they are concepts - but concepts that do not comply with reality.
Regarding the CNN broadcast - it's not surprising it was scripted as everything CNN does is to push a narrative:
Here's the thing. Of all the people who spoke at the town hall meeting, he is apparently the only one who complained about "scripted questions." No one else came forward, of all the other people who spoke, making any such claim. This young man was then quoted on just about every media source, especially those with an axe to grind. We also know that CNN is no stranger to retractions when they make a mistake or do something foolish. However, UPDATE: CNN released the following statement Thursday morning: CNN did not, and does not, script any questions for town hall meetings, ever. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/v...fter_denying_question_about_armed_guards.html Hmm. Who to believe...
I think between the young man and CNN, many of us know which has a history of being more false. That's just my perspective.
This is a joke from CNN. They were caught scripting questions from North Carolina residents a town hall meetings for the 2016 election -- where the voters were given the questions they should ask rather than the questions they wanted to ask. CNN is full of shiat.
Really? No other person in the entire crowd said anything remotely supporting this guy, whom you know absolutely nothing about. And CNN would risk its credibility in so blatant and risky a manner? Why? Because there wasn't enough public outrage about guns already and they had to stoke the flames just to keep it going? Seriously? Sure, you "weighed" the available facts and then drew the conclusion that suits you.
Let's take a look at CNN's lengthy history of town hall plants and arranging scripted questions. The question part is usually done by emailing the questions the audience member will ask in advance and confirming they agree to stick with the designated question.
