Cissus quadrangularis

  1. But you manage to take the other stuff you mentioned without incident. Why not take it at the same time? Again, I'm not saying you should take it at all, but if it is one of those silver bullet natural remedies as it is claimed to be...

Yeah, just messing with you. :D

Well, actually this isn't true, I miss the evening pills about 50% of the time. Again, just pure laziness. Sometimes I don't remember if I took it or not. But I hope I answered all your questions about my pill taking habits... :)

  3. Yes, you did. Perhaps a "memory supplement" is in order. :p

As for laziness, the only natural remedy I can think of in your special circumstances is a firm shoe solidly applied to the seat of the pants. :D

Thanks to you, I took ACV today and my tennis elbow pain is mostly gone!! I wrote about it in the ACV thread, apparently ACV does have anti-inflammatory effects, and is a known treatment for tennis elbow.

Man, I own you one.... You see, that is why I start threads like this, you never know what the community mind can achieve....

Perhaps u should keep all these supplements on your bedside table together with a bottle of water...what would your excuse be then for not taking them? Lol

Tennis elbow is getting better, probably due to a combination of pills and special exercises. Anyhow I am not very good at sticking to supplements, or watching how many I am supposed to take and when. So I was taking only 1 pill in the morning of Cissus, but then it dawned on me that during the day my elbow is pretty good and overnight the pain increases.

Not to mention I am supposed to take 2 pills twice a day, so I was seriously under supplementing myself, although there seemed to be some good results. So from today on I will take the 4 pills a day until I finish the bottle and report back on the elbow pain.

So can't really say that the cissus had any effect.

I have been sleeping really well lately, I thought it was because of the colder weather. This morning I googled "cissus sleep aid" and sure enough:

" I took it in the morning on empty stomach just to make sure I absorbed it. That night, I slept very restfully. I woke up restfully. I wondered if it was just a fluke reaction that would wear off but after taking it for at least last 6 months, I still have restful sleep. Not only that, it helps with pain. It is known to effect serotonin levels also. Even helps with testosterone. It had no side effects either."

"There is a vagis nerve that runs from your brain through the rest of your body. Your diaphram is connected to this. That separates your chest and stomach area. When you breaths, one needs to breath through the stomach area. It needs to rise and fall. What this does is MOVE THE DIAPHRAM which stimulates the vagus nerve which in turn causes calming neurotransmitters to be released in your body. Well that's the theory anyway. This isn't particularly about sleep but it is something that may help people while their not sleeping."

So one more strike for cissus!

Tennis elbow is back so I am on Cissus again. After reading through this thread I am going to take ACV too. Started yesterday and the first thing I noticed I slept through the night without getting up to pee. That is a huge advantage already. Going to take 4 pills per day, 4g.

Could be just the placebo, but the elbow already is felling better. Yesterday I tried pickle ball for the first time, because I am old enough for that sport. Part of the problem is that I still keep playing tennis, so the tendons have less time to heal.

Will be updating this thread how the process goes....

It has definitely been helping for sure. The relief is pretty much right away, but also subtle long term one. Also helps with sleep.
