Circuit City, or at least the name, has been resurrected. And you can buy things from them like this overpriced, clip-on fan. https://www.circuitcity.com/lasko-6-inch-clip-cooling-fan-white/product/LAS2004W.html
Damn, Ken. Talk about being cheap on a date. Drive-ins. Now that was a lot of bang for your buck. You know what I mean. Good times then. Decades later I learned I should have been miserable during that period because of the stagnant economy and high inflation.
Drive-ins sucked in a way. First time I saw Star Wars was at a drive-in, with the speaker you hung on the side of your window. Talk about the world's worst audio experience for the best sound FX movie of the era. Terrible!
If you took your date to a drive-in, you weren’t exactly there to watch the movie. The speaker thing jammed into the window was later replaced by tuning into an AM channel on your car’s radio. The channel’s name was, I kid you not, KOME. A big-titted blonde wearing a tight, low-cut t-shirt emblazoned with “KOME” and the channel number appeared on the screen as a reminder before the previews. The only movie I remember being into from start to finish at a drive-in was Rambo First Blood. Drive-ins in my area died out soon after.
Drive ins who actually watched movies lol. Swap meets Saturday. Midnight movies heavy metal and rocky horror
Wonder if Eddie Antar made it down there too. @themickey Do ya'll have a Crazy Eddie down there as well?
