Putin is a criminal leading a country that, in my understanding, is without the rule of law. That is hardly the recipe for prosperity for the masses or for building a middle class.

  3. LOL if you subscribe to time magazine and western media you'll get heavily biased data.

How is it that a man like you speaking with such "factual" authority neglects to mention Russia has no debt to stop its growth while USA services trillions of dollars in debt

Who do you think has a brighter growth from this point on.

Broke United States with no left petro resources

or Russian federation with no debt and brimming with oil

  4. LLLOOLLLLL

Despite such pathetic attempts by west to de-legitimize Putin government.

He ordered installation of web cameras at more than 100 000 polling stations streaming live voting 24 hr per day onto internet.
    This cost 300 million USD
And 60% of population voted for Putin.

The real question you should ask yourself, is why do they love him so much.

Quote by recent interview on CNN by Kissinger
    "Putin is foremost......a patriot"

Putin is booed by the west because they can't buy him off and he keeps rising the Russian standard of living.

My message to American patsies like you Eight, you are managing to fool less and less people, people are waking up.

  5. Russia is true capitalism. No laws, economy controlled by a few Billionaires, military protecting the economic interests of the Billionaires. No taxes paid, No infrastructure, No social safety nets, rest left to live on the streets.

I respect your opinions but you are off-base here. Putin is a dictator and the sentimental grandmothers vote for him, never realizing that the ONLY reason for Russia's growth is oil and other natural resources.
Russians do love crying about the conditions but yet again they elect a leader who loves to smack the people across their faces every so often. Russians only understand and respect someone who is stronger and more powerful, that's what I've learned by living near them.

Because 60% in this shitty country are :police, military, special forces etc,the rest 40 % do not care,as they are drunk permanently.

  9. Russia is, as it has always been, a supply region, meaning a place that exports basic, raw and unfinished commodities, while importing finished goods. In the 19th century it was wheat, today it's energy, mostly, along with some gold, diamonds, and nickel.
Such an economy will by definition have a small elite that owns the resources that are exported lording it over a large, usually restless, population that knows they're out and have no way of getting into the in crowd.
It's the exact opposite of a Western economy, or the Asian tigers, or Japan or China or India. The difference is this: in any of these places, you can make it if you try or at least get lucky. In Russia, as in Saudi Arabia, you're in only if you can sit on top of a large resource base AND defend it against all comers, AND keep on the good side of the only guy who makes all the rules: the maximum leader, the King in Saudi, Putin in Russia.
In these places the law is a joke; the only thing that goes is what the leader says. What's his is his, and what's yours is negotiable.
