Too bad we "got there" by having foreign [read German] cars degrading to become crapola rather than having American cars get better....
even Toyota quality is falling. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/?p=2043 http://www.automotiveblogger.net/toyota-recall-very-revealing/ http://cbs4boston.com/recalls/local_story_336071923.html
I agree and I didn't even read those links yet. The 07 Camry has a POS transmission in it. They had to pull a bunch back and replace and so owners got hosed for a bill. Bang for the buck I would buy a Sonata V6. Heck it has twice as much as Camry in options, made in Alabama, 100k warranty built in, and fully loaded for about 23k. But since I have my 03 Camry I will stick with it at 38k miles on it, it will run for atleast another 100k no problem. Edit: I would still take a toy or honda over found on road dead anyday. I worked at Enterprise 10 years ago between a Ford and Toyota dealer, guess who all of our customers came from? I agree that American mfg. is the best it's been now, with GM leading the pack. Like I said with their 100k warranty on 07 I'm game.
