Christopher Hitchens debates Hannity on God

  1. But it seems his view evolved:

Stephen Hawking's Final Book Says There's 'No Possibility' of God in Our Universe

Black holes, like the universe before the Big Bang, condense into a singularity. In this ultra-packed point of mass, gravity is so strong that it distorts time as well as light and space. Simply put, in the depths of a black hole, time does not exist.

Because the universe also began as a singularity, time itself could not have existed before the Big Bang. Hawking's answer, then, to what happened before the Big Bang is, "there was no time before the Big Bang."

"We have finally found something that doesn’t have a cause, because there was no time for a cause to exist in," Hawking wrote. "For me this means that there is no possibility of a creator, because there is no time for a creator to have existed in."

A journalist who amassed 18 books of utter nonsense. And a second tier scientist who won no significant awards in his entire life other than honorary doc titles, proved hardly anything other than throwing up a lot of claims, and failed miserably in his own life, multiple wives could not bear with him and left.

Oh, don't worry, you won't stop me believing and praying. The same freedoms that we bestow on you to live out your personal freedoms, as much as they will come back to haunt you, we expect you grant to us.

Hitchens then Dawkins then Hawking. Lol you surely, love to throw around with names to give the appearance of credibility to your claims. Not one of the named individuals has succeeded to show that life in the absence of a creator could have possibly worked out. One a chain smoker who died of cancer. The other a failed husband and father. The other having been physically punished and yet still foaming and cursing his creator. Quite the bunch you built your life's principles on.

Yep, better to not find peace.

  7. So your belief in a creator is the only thing that brings peace? To you and everyone else?

And why did we move the goal post from science to finding peace?

I don't presume what choices others make. My only point made here is Hitchens nor any atheist for that matter have a scientific foundation that disproves the absolute necessity of a creator.

You not believing in a creator does not make you one inch more educated or scientific than me believing in a creator.

Humans are such crazy beasts, believing in a book written by corrupt humans which became the unadulterated word of god, the book is full of errors but it's still the unadulterated word of god. Humans place 100% faith that this human created god in a human created book will save them but no-one else.

No matter that the leaders of their religion frequently are caught out as hypocrites, they continue to blindly follow them, the blind leading the blind which their own book talks about, ie the book projects their own sin.

Its very obvious to me the purpose of the bible, its to shoe horn people into following cultism.
Everything about the bible is about cultism of a human belief.
The pupose of cultism is subjecting the crowd to mindless slaves so that a few at the top carry power.
That's Evil (or the devil if you want to believe in a devil) in action under the guise of godliness.
