I am baffled by why we are supposed to apologize for The Crusades. Any of us have anything to do with it? And what was so terrible about fighting religious repression? Are muslims feeling bad about their relentless wars of conquest and religious repression? No, they want to do it again. And haven't we seen how silly Bush looked and our current political and military leaders look trying to pretend that the problem isn't islam but some sort of vague "radical" or "militant" movement? How can we hope to combat something when we are too PC to even call it what it is?
