  1. Robertson Calls for Justices' Retirement

    Tuesday July 15, 2003 4:49 AM

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson urged his nationwide audience Monday to pray for God to remove three justices from the Supreme Court so they could be replaced by conservatives.

``We ask for miracles in regard to the Supreme Court,'' Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's ``The 700 Club.''

Robertson has launched a 21-day ``prayer offensive'' directed at the Supreme Court in the wake of its 6-3 June vote that decriminalized sodomy. Robertson said in a letter on the CBN Web site that the ruling ``has opened the door to homosexual marriage, bigamy, legalized prostitution and even incest.''

The same letter targets three justices in particular: ``One justice is 83-years-old, another has cancer and another has a heart condition. Would it not be possible for God to put it in the minds of these three judges that the time has come to retire?''

Judging from the descriptions, Robertson was referring to Justice John Paul Stevens, who was born in 1920, and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who had colon cancer surgery in 1999. The identity of the third justice was unclear.

  2. ...maybe Clarence came down with monkey pox from humping farm animals...:D...but I think Robertson is probably OK with Clarence, despite his history of sexual harassment...geez, imagine what the Repub's would've done to Clinton had he been into animal porn like Clarence...

But seriously, what a sick f^ck that robertson is...

Ever see Mosquito Coast (with harrison ford?) -- that seems like it was written about Robertson...good movie, though.

  3. Well, if a history like that is good enough to make you a judge, it ought to be good enough to make you a two term prez eh bung???:D

I must admit I think Robertson is over the top sometimes but i actually would agee with him on a lot of subjects if he would tone it down a little,......what I find interesting is that the christian's like Robertson are always quoted and panned....btu have you ever heard some of the prominent black baptist preachers?....but hat would be racist if you attacked them

  4. Robertson over the top? I think the correct term is fanatical self-righteousness.

Feel free to quote and pan those of other persuasions who are as equally fanatical and self-righteous as Robertson...whether they are black, white, red, brown, yellow, Christian, Muslim, etc.

    Stupid, is stupid.

    Fanaticism is a disease.

  5. only on local cable access late at night....i think the only televangelists that we hear alot from are the ones who have generated huge cash flows, like robertson, hinn, graham, etc...and all those guys are white...

but seriously, the Mosquito Coast sounds just like him.....awesome flick, if you haven't seen it yet...

  6. I must defend Christ from these Anti-Chirstians
Robertson is no true Christian, neither are the millions of people who enlist in his army. If Christ ever came back, they'd call him the Anti-Christ and then proceed to murder/crucify him.

    Pretend Chirstianity
    Pretend Patriotism
    Hypocrisy is everyone's favorite sin

  8. Pat Robertson sux

    ROCK

  9. Prayer can work to brainwash people into thinking they are right.

In my mind there is an enormous difference between praying to God for the serenity to accept that God's will be done, and trying to tell God what His will should be.

This goes right up there with two opposing Catholic football teams both praying to the same God for victory on the gridiron.

  10. LMAO.....I always wondered about that when Notre Dame plays Boston College....ND has the edge though becuase even God thinks the Boston area is way too liberal:D
