  2. How much can you actually short at that price? Didn't we just gap down pretty hard on open?

  3. Because - as I thought - the EUR would open taking a dive. And it did. And I'm up about a grand because of it.

I'll close out shortly, and then return to neutral pending Monday's news.

  4. Shorted before open. And how much? Shorted 200,000 units.

Edit: Just closed it. Took my money and ran.

  5. So with the news out over the weekend about EU budget troubles, you can still short and get the same price as friday's close? How does one get in "before the open"? Thanks.

stupid oanda lets u trade all weekent with a 10 point spread.
Since they were asleep at the wheel over the weekend and
did not realize what was going to happen. Some very smart
    people shorted the euro.

  8. You sound a bit like you're angry at this. Why?

Oanda has never made a secret that it lets you trade 24 hours. Pips are enlarged of course. But thank you for classifying myself as "very smart".

  9. Just relatively heavily reshorted the EUR at 1.22 flat. News that the ECB is thinking about cutting rates now. The pressure is increasing, my friends.

far from angry, if oanda wants to let people trade without
having the ability for themselves (oanda) to cover their positions, good for them. The market does not open till 3pm on sun.

I think its just plain stupid, just like honouring stoploss
levels. I have been trading fx for 20 year and this is not
how the real world of fx works. (Banks)
