Chinook's EUR/USD (E/$)Mumblings

  1. I'm long at 1.3425. It's up around 36 right now, but I'm sitting on it and letting it go. If it comes back down, so be it.

  2. But is it an email service, or do you log in somewhere? And how much does it cost, I didn't find that on the site (did I miss it?)

  3. Personal subscription is about $330 a month (if I remember that correctly). It's a browser window you keep open that auto refreshes. Has everything you'd think of (not just FX) and you click filters to give you what you want to hear about. Updates every few minutes.

  4. I guess I should have been quicker to enter the order for re-entry on EURUSD. :)
Well, taking a pause away from the screen watching a little then. It will probably see it closer towards the highs still.

  5. Debating on closing here at 43, but I think I'm gonna hang on.

  6. I was going to reenter on low 30s but hit the order at tad too late - always better to hit the ask when it's only 2-3 ticks away for these kind of trades.

I thought I had moved a little more than I had, and got a little confused with both trades evolving so rapidly at the same time - won't do that next time - better concentrate on one when it needs babysitting.

  7. Put the tp at 50. Let's see how long I have to wait for it.

  8. I've been busy with automating TS and IB. I fiddled around with Hyperserver but due to TS imitaions I can't send my protective stop limit orders until the price level is reached. It looks like the upcoming version of Hyperserver will be able to handle it.

With all of this excitement going on, I got in short (automated) at 44 a while ago but then didn't take profits creating a 30 pip ride!

  9. chinook,
I hope you take the JPYUSD on CME into account too ... it is fast becoming a little favourite now on ease of trading, at least today. Very clear signals for me, although I took profits quickly on several occations.

Another +10, and it's time to call it quits for the day before I get into overtrading territory - I already had some sloppy trading earlier today - although they were good entries for someone with a more strong-stomach style.

edit: interesting looking reversal on EURJPY forming now.
