Out took out 56 pips on 4 lots. Now I went short but I got out at b/e dunno what next play should be..
No shorting here for this move I'm not trading overnight this week. However, my sleep schedule is still messed up and ended up getting up at 2am local time! Trying to make myself sleepy and go back to bed for another couple of hours of sleep before the US open.
I got +35 ticks on that spillover USDJPY move. I'm totally flabbergasted ... I have absolutely no idea how to interpret this infighting I see close to the ath on the EURUSD, I gave back a good 12 ticks on being stubborn , but got another scalp for +9 ticks back again. I feel the "over-trading" monster looking me in the eyes, and me staying up all night would not like to face that little monster right now. I had a +80 EURUSD position as well as the +35 USDJPY position ... so I am totally stunned by how the things have moved tonight. I better stay away from further scalping right now - although I'm well positive in all my actions tonight. Scary action, and no - I would not obviously short the EURUSD any more at this level - I did so a handful of ticks below the ath - but not anymore. I almost could feel my heart in my mouth when I hit a little heavy there. Better be content with what I have ... not too bad. Better get some much needed sleep.
Pssst. Watch out â¬-longs .. the USDJPY is moving a little too... some pressure - now my eyes are not acting this action anymore. I feel like how Chinook have described himself many times - almost collapsing - I guess all the excitement didn't get to me before I stopped. Phew.
I would guess, say if the daily trading amount is (on average) 25% of total capital, that would require a 48% returns on the daily amount in order to achieve a 12% overall returns. Any comments? What % of total capital most hedge fund managers usually trade daily?
