I'm curious.. what are other currencies that have a lot of momentum like USD/EUR? I'd like to start branching out into other currencies when the EUR is not being kind to me :>
I think tomorrow we are going to see some big movements. If the CPI is higher like PPI was, I think we will break 1.300 easily. I hope this sucker keeps falling from 1.2950ish region so I can get a few good long positions :>
Out of curiousity, I read that USD/AUD is measured heavily on the CPI. That is coming out tomorrow.. do you think USD/EUR will have the same effect with USD/AUD?
Normally, higher core CPI would be USD bullish: higher inflation means quicker and more Fed interest rate increases, which means more of an interest rate differential between the US and the EU, which attracts more capital to US denominated assets and moves the current account closer to zero. The only thing is that lately the market has been ignoring USD positive news (like the the last Non Farms Payroll #) and the Euro has been increasing in value anyways. Cheers, TRADERguy
