  1. Yes, the market is mean to me today; or - I am not very alert and get careless as sleepiness overtakes me. I stayed with my short bias which didn't exactly do very well. :D

  5. Well I think I have had enough fun for the day. I had a nice finish fading the Philly Fed release :D. I think I traded almost as much as Curl has today. If I keep actively trading the euro I'm going to have to switch back to futures. I made 37 pips for me but I gave my broker 21 pips   .

Hope everyone has a good finish!

  6. Nice job. I'm back to slightly negative territory but for my style and the type of the day , I'm happy with the results.

  7. Hehe, I think almost everyone overtraded ... it was a heck of a ride. I gave back more 15 ticks, but then I got seriously pissed off. I couldn't resist trying to get back, and was angry because I didn't concentrate - I was entering trades indiscriminately because of the "numbness" of sleep deprivation.

Now, I'm at break-even with around -2 ticks after commission ... in just 21 trades. :D
Well, this defeat I can take. I too faded that Philly number and got back a nice 16 pips, but I was still going to give back more before I came back here to b/e.

Now, I'm not just sleepy - I've got a headache and it's 33 degrees Celsius here, as well as being mentally exhausted over the strain of needing to concentrate. Stupid day; but I just got 3.5 hours sleep. Not a nice way to trade. :p

Maybe I wake up for the asian session - but with the exhaustion I have now ... I don't know.

edit: Duh, too worked up to sleep. Better relax a little in the pool, it needs a little cleaning too.

edit2: My safest/best/normal-style winners today were when fading around the 1.2630 level ... and we're right there now. Ahh, but I better get into the pool.

  10. Small stops reported around 1.2580 now by Thomson. They also report that significant selling out of Dublin in the mid 1.2620s made little impact. Offers through the 1.2650 level and stops above. Wonder if those offers might retreat somewhat if we pass 1.2640 again - with some conviction.

I can't seem to stay away, but at least I'm not in a trade - for real money - just the short on spot fx demo from 1.2613 ... So still roughly -2 for now.
    :)
