Also it's common knowledge that humanity can't unite and usher in that elusive golden era of peace until there's one single global unified sewage system, administered by a good-humoured and benevolent AI, so perhaps this is a step in the right direction.
I was on an old river boat and they literally just stuck their asses over a railing, there was a curtain but only in the boat side, everyone else in the river had a scat show. Things are changing but India is actually better than China in my experience though both totally dangerous for food poisoning. I've seen children just taking a dump into a rain drainage grate. They just have kids go wherever instead of using nappies. I never noticed this in India.
