China cant be replaced. If that were so the change would have taken place already. We as a country have become to reliant on them, as much as people want made in America they will NOT pay the price. Prices here are already inflated enough, you really think people are going to spend thousands and thousands more a year for a product built or made in America. Think again. Haha. Not happening. It's our own fault for letting manufacturing jobs leave the US over the last 50+ years. It didnt have to happen but when a company only cares about profits and revenues that's what you get.
I'm going to continue and disagree, China has the upper hand in the trade war and come December 15th you will see why once again China is the powerhouse in the trade war.
Lucky for you, there is no inflation (TM). So we can inflate everything! Oh that's an interesting perspective. Indeed, we will see what happens then.
Just so you are aware, December 15th is when the next round tariffs are supposed to go into effect. Now if they do NOT go into effect, which I believe they will not because we all know they dont want to spook the markets, will mean once again China is winning the trade war.
Yes I know and actually I think they wouldn't mind spooking the markets this time. Two birds with one stone. Get a nice new base price for the indexes leading to great retirement /returns next year, fuck China in one move. The US markets would easily recover so BTFD especially if dozus boys are saying the world is going to end.
If the US chooses not to implement the new tariffs on Dec 15, how does that equate to China winning the trade war? China has already been impacted worse than the US, so no additional tariffs on Dec 15th would seem to mean that China won't be impacted worse than it already is. I don't understand how that equates to China winning the trade war. And then there's the article below, which seems to indicate that China isn't ok with how things are now ... new tariffs or not. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/12/01/chi...ne-trade-deal-with-us-says-chinese-media.html
BIG Trade war news will move markets at least 3% come the 15th of December. As of now I dont see trump making this tariff move, but now with him saying he can wait until next year makes it sound like he is going to play "hardball" with China. This entire trade war continues to be extremely amusing and totally hilarious because just days ago phase 1 of the trade war was almost complete. Truth is there never was a phase 1, it's nothing but nonsense talk to make everyone believe trade talks are moving forward. They aren't, this is many many more years in the making, unless a Democrat wins next November. Investors fear repeat of last December’s sell-off if Trump lets tariffs take effect Dec. 15 PUBLISHED TUE, DEC 3 201911:29 AM ESTUPDATED 12 MIN AGO Dec. 15 is the date when tariffs on another $250 billion in Chinese goods would go into effect, and economists have viewed these tariffs as potentially the most damaging, since they directly target consumer goods. “I think investors are using Dec. 15 as a barometer. It’s probably the purest, simplest barometer, to see if progress is being made. If it isn’t, we’ll probably limp in the rest of the year,” said Jack Ablin, chief investment officer at Cresset Wealth Advisors. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/12/03/inv...if-trump-lets-tariffs-take-effect-dec-15.html
