So true! If you ever want to make a bureaucrat mad, confused, or disgusted then just introduce a new idea to him/her. This drives these people crazy.

Of course, they already know what's best for all of us, as they go about day to day looking out for our best interests. ;>)

I have no dispute with your first point. No rich parents, and yes, like many people I do have some experience with "the system."

Point 2, I must take exception. Here, you are putting words in my mouth. WTF does any of this have to do with the cold war? Yes, I have been to China and I have several Chinese friends. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT consider the Chinese people the enemy. I love the Chinese people. But I do consider the Chinese government the enemy of freedom, and of its own people. I grant you that our country has descended into socialism and is proceeding in an alarming direction at an alarming rate. But the very fact that I can write those words, and you can read them, without either of us being tossed in prison and the key thrown away, points out a major difference between their system of government and ours.

I have not eaten in McDonalds for 30+ years. I would not take a Ford or an Apple computer if you gave it to me. And by the way, I don't get my news from FOX or CNN--neither of which provides anything that could be called news. Please stick to the statements I am making here, and avoid making up your own version of who I am.

  3. IMO,

Socialism is preventing race to the bottom.
Capitalism is promoting race to the top.
