Look, I am from a different country too. I am looking at the economics of it and the prospective ability of those nations to handle the tariff war. I am interested in this topic in a roundabout way as I am a trader. Trump announcements are impacting the stock prices in my country. That brings me to this topic.

Tariffs will not hit both sides equally, not because of trade value or tariff % or affected goods, but because Chinese businesse and people can withstand drama far better than American businesses and people can. They don't have 100 years of economic and social prosperity, they're first/second generation out of abysmal poverity and live in a hierarchical society where criticism of government is always a risk to personal safety. If government says eat only rice for the next 6 months because evil USA wants to hurt you... they will eat rice in unison. Try that in America where not finding eggs is a national catastrophe!
