Well first of all, any Tesla driver data that Musk gathered if he gathered any is proprietary and is his company's personal and proprietary data and Musk has no obligation to share it with anyone that he doesn't want to share the data with and has every right to share it with anybody he likes. If the Chinese government thinks just because it allowed Musk to open Tesla plants in China that somehow it owns Tesla now and is entitled to the data then it's due for a rude awakening. As far as I know, the Tesla plant that Musk opened in China is not a joint venture; it's a solely owned venture by Musk just using China's labour and space. And honestly Musk did China a favour by opening its plant in China creating jobs in China when all of the foreign businesses are withdrawing from China to diversify their supply chain. China should be grateful for that especially that it was able to enjoy the "technology transfer" from Musk that allowed it to develop its own Tesla-knockout EV now to undercut Tesla to make incredible money again.

That's why I say China really has no need for long-term capital. It's making enough money off foreign businesses and foreign countries. LOL

Chinese Telsa driver's data store inside China, pretty sure Chinese goverment won't allow the data to be shared with the US goverement. Didi for example, I shorted and made few grands out of the whole data security issue.

I own shit load of TSLA so I hope Elon is smart enough not to play politics in China. But luckily for him, if you are following the news from the beginning, Elon has the direct number of current China Premier Li. Li oversaw the construction and opening of the factory.

Like I said, Tesla's data is Musk's proprietary property regardless of where it's stored. The Chinese government better understands this otherwise it should be prepared that the US government won't allow Tiktok and many Chinese companies even including Bank of China from sharing its user data that's stored in United States with the CCP. It goes both ways. You can't just impose your way and expect others won't have theirs.

Musk is a businessman not a very smart one obviously otherwise it wouldn't have gone headlong into China to set up his bread and butter plant only to have his life's work "technology transferred" to China. That was incredibly foolhardy of him.

The new Premier Li is an improvement yes but it's still Xi and a whole bunch of ignorant nationalists "wumao" who are in charge so nothing has really changed fundamentally.

I don’t give a rat’s ass of what the politics are, just don’t mess up my long term positions, from Apple to JNJ. while keep a tab of news for short term trades, like gambling man would’ve done.

Musk is DONE now that he has no edge anymore after he's foolishly "technology transferred" all his know-how's about EV's to China and China is now able to come up with cheaper Tesla knockouts. Tesla did not do well at all at recent car sales events in China. Its sales revenue were way behind the Chinese EV car companies. Yup that's what he gets for opening his manufacturing plants in China creating jobs in China when all the foreign companies left.

I like Musk. I think he is a genius and an incredible innovator with vision and lots of dedication. What he did and is doing with the US space program is very inspiring but if I were you I would start unloading some of your TSLA stocks or at least buy some puts on them.
