  2. suppose China increases its currency RMB to dollar from 6.8 vs 1 to 3 vs 1, then will the job that producing clothes, toys etc will come back to US? the answer is no,because India, vietnam will take those jobs over instead of US.

  6. given that china floats its currency, what US will get? first, US will not manufacture those low-end products imported from china, US will pay more to have those goods; second, will US export more to China? possibly at a small increase, because anything China can do is cheaper than made in US. those that china can not do will import from US anyway, like intel chips, boeing aircraft, etc.

the trade imbalance is not due to china currency (from 2005-2008, china RMB value has increased 20%, while the surplus of china becomes larger instead of smaller), it is due to globalization. the ultimate result of globalization will flat out the salary difference among all nations. this is easy to understand. for example, why do workers in US, no matter living in new york or Tennessee, earn a salary at a rate almost at the same level? because there is no domestic tariffs. Globalization removes those tariffs, thus will flat out the economical differences eventually.

  9. Torturing chinese people is not racist.
Patriot act, read up on it. These guys are financial wreckers.
The US Gov is allowed to do what it takes to secure our financial system.

Torture is by far the most efficient way.
