Haven't you heard all those empty skyscrapers and vacant cities built in China
by rich party members who want to play god among their local peasant populations?
It's still an iron-fisted regime. Most of the industry and businesses are in the end ruled by the oligarchs along with their "mixed" economy. They will never allow a true middle class to emerge, or even become a consumer class. Without an internal middle class and shrinking American consumer class. (we're more like a debtor population on FED fumes now), eventually they'll have no consumers left for their exports. And will have to move on to "emerging consumers" in South America and Africa . (good luck with that). Those buildings and cities will remain vacant for decades or "housing projects" for slum populations who will probably pay some kind of rent. The oligarchs' kids would rather come to America and enjoy the real estate and hotels they bought here and have fun in LA and LV.
