You can't trade in China... China has currency exchange restriction. However, you can trade Hong Kong China stock. There is no capital gain there and short sell is allowed.

no, CHina has no plan moving forward to short selling, or the opposite one, here the trading for A share and B share is simple, buy low sell high....which i nevered touched yet....
hi, have u ever heard about those "hot money " in China from foreigners??/they used those "different ways" to get in to the market in China, sometimes they bought the domestic Chinese ID cards from those people who is living in the countryside to open the A share account, and they control the money, for those farmers who offer the ID cards ve been very plsed if they got the payment maybe around 15-30USD for selling ID card. so thats how they get in, and they have various of options to put money in here, so trading in A shares for foreigners is very easy, even we have a currencies restrictions.hehe .dont worry so much about it.
