"China's capital will institute a "one dog" policy for each household in nine areas, the official Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Xinhua said: "Only one pet dog is allowed per household in the zones, and dangerous and large dogs will be banned. Anyone keeping an unlicensed dog will face prosecution."

I welcomed the 1 child policy. I don't care for human rights. Freedom of press? Useless.... But one dog policy? I say, REVOLUTION!!!

"In one county in the southwestern province of Yunnan where three people had died of rabies, authorities killed thousands of dogs, many of them beaten to death in front of their owners."

  2. I thought that was a traditional korean meat tenderising process.
Seriously, they do still eat dogs there, dont they?
Or was that just a cantonese thing?

  3. I lived in China for a short time...I just couldn't take it!
I was forced to eat a soup made of snake, chicken and cat.
CAT!!! I really like cats (as pets)!
I do know they beat dogs to tenderise them in Korea before killing them..and...(gulp) eating them:(
