Paul's medical training was interrupted when he was drafted during the Cuban Missile Crisis into the United States Air Force. He remained in the military during the early years of the Vietnam War.[15] He was never sent to Vietnam, instead serving active duty (1963-1965) that took him to other countries, including South Korea, Iran, Ethiopia and Turkey.[1] He served as a flight surgeon out of Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas from 1963 to 1965, attending to the ear, nose and throat problems of pilots.[1] He then served in the Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968 while completing his medical residency in Pittsburgh.[16] He achieved rank of captain during his service in the Air Force.[17] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul
To have even had a lottery # wouldn't you now be a much younger man than Romney is - say, somewhere between age 50-55?
They're probably so dull they don't even have a posse, don't cheat on their spouses, are all highly educated, and do charity work of some kind. Damn, can we really trust a C in C who, in addition to all the above, also has the stigma of not having any of his sons volunteer in the Armed Forces, and - perhaps worst of all - doesn't even get blowjobs from interns? Heck, this guy probably WOULDN'T lie under oath!! What a pansey!!
hey.. no prob... just send 2 of the boys to the war he lust so much for. but don't try to spin the fact his boys are riding around iowa in a winnebago, that they are serving their country by working for his election campaign. pizza and sno cones aren't the same as riding around in a hummer avoiding ied's so your arms and legs arent blown off.
He didn't start the war, Bush did. He doesn't think turning Iraq over to al qaeda or Iran proxies is a great idea. Neither do I, although I have a lot of reservations about our tactics.
Agree about Bush, of course. Still a bit of a stretch to say "turn Iraq over to AlQuaeda or Iran" - IMO, heck we're having a hard enough time turning Iraq over to Iraq. Sad joke. Iraq is such a quaqmire that there is no way of winning, no goal post in sight, bad beginnings, bad lengthy middle so far, quite likely a bad ending, regardless of whether it's now or in 10 years, again, just my opinion. c
no offense AAA, but i actually thought you were starting to learn something here lately. it appears i am wrong..... sounds like mitt is your boy. another shill corporate CFR politician. the mainstream media puts out new lies about Iran and you guys start frothing at the mouth. reminds me of the fake wmd's. sad... i can't fight stupid... (God knows i have tried on here) i am still amazed when i watch mitt try to invoke 9/11 during the debate when ron paul is talking about iraq. is mitt that stupid or is he that corrupt? maybe if one of his lil fruitcake boys was over there he wouldnt be so careless..... then again.. maybe he is a sociopath.
More chicken hawks: Anyone w/o military service who tries to get the US or even the UN into Darfur. The biggest that comes to mind (though there are many) is the actor Don Cheadle - this chickenhawk tries to promote Darfur, the tough guy even travelled there, and immediately came back . . . to promote Darfur, so that someone else can be deployed there. Is probably a big Barrack Osama fan . . .
Romney, Winner in Iowa, `Misspoke' About Sons' Military Choice Avram Goldstein Sun Aug 12, 11:16 AM ET Aug. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Mitt Romney, who won the Iowa Republican straw poll yesterday, said he ``misspoke'' when he suggested that his sons' work on his presidential campaign was comparable to serving in the military in Iraq. ``I misspoke,'' the former Massachusetts governor said today on ``Fox News Sunday.'' ``It's not service to the country, it's service for me, and there's just no comparison there.'' At an event in Iowa last week, Romney was asked why his adult sons hadn't enlisted in the military and responded by saying: ``One of the ways my sons are showing support for our nation is helping me get elected because they think I'd be a great president,'' according to the Associated Press. Romney said today that he ``didn't mean in any way to compare service in the country with my boys in any way. Service in this country is an extraordinary sacrifice being made by individuals and their families.''
