Why? Its business. It's not personal. Chicago is an area they want to expand into. If you are a large company with a multi state presence and endorse one view on any hot button issue you will feel a backlash. A good businessman will stay neutral on hot button topics if speaking out hurts business. They could have gone to court and forced Moreno to approve them but to what end? To take a personal stand? They are there to sell product and thier product is food, not social philosophy. Of course, they could change their name to fil-a chick.....
