Actually, it's part of the culture you continue to pretend doesn't exist with your attitude about how any confrontation of statistics on just who causes the violence is automatically racist.

  2. This is the case that is really at the core of Rahm's downfall, and now Chicago is bracing for the verdict. Anything less than guilty of first degree murder and the ghetto dwellers have promised a "protest". We all know what that really means. Rioting across the city.
I am on record saying no way in hell can the cop justify shooting the thug sixteen times, and yes he was a thug. His thugness however does not mean you get to keep blasting after he's obviously down. That said, I don't see how the cop is guilty of first degree murder. Second degree, maybe. Lesser charges for sure.
Will this be another case where the prosecution blows it by overcharging the case and a not guilty verdict is the result? Unless the jury has been given the alternative of bringing back guilty on lesser charges I can't see how they find him guilty of first degree murder.
The street beasts are at the ready. Expect a riot either way. Even if they get their first degree charge, you know how they like to celebrate by burning cars, stores, and generally raising hell. If he's found not guilty I expect they'll burn large parts of the city to the ground, and that's no bullshit.

  3. Man stops to help a guy who was shot, while the victims "friends" laughed and took pictures. Pathetic, but not unexpected.

In other news the Van Dyke jury is now in deliberation and will be sequestered. City is preparing for the worst. It's a powder keg about to blow. The usual suspects are pouring into the city getting ready for another Soros funded riot.
I suspect if this thing blows in Chicago it will also ignite riots around the nation as the radical leftists go crazy if Kavanaugh gets confirmed. They want to be able to tie all this together and watch multiple cities and college campuses burn.

So.... they're going to burn their own cities and those cities happen to be liberal sanctuary cities?

    Oh darn.

1:24 p.m.: Cardinal Cupich urges peaceful protest

In anticipation of the verdict, Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich urged the anxious city to follow the wishes of the slain teen’s family who has urged protesters to remain peaceful.

“Let us listen to their voice and decide to pray and not strike out,” Cupich said in a statement released to the media after the judge confirmed the jury had reached a verdict. “To extend our hands in friendship, not in hate. To gather in our mutual pain and ask the Lord and each other for the balm of tolerance and love. “

Cupich continued, “If we choose peace, heart by heart, house by house, block by block, we will show our children and the world that hate has no place in Chicago. Let this be remembered as a turning point – when peace prevailed. Then as Dr. King said, 'We will emerge from the bleak and desolate midnight of man's inhumanity to man into the bright daybreak of freedom and justice.'"

    Well, the City won't burn.
Or at least a brief reprieve until sentencing.
He was acquitted of 1 count of official misconduct.... That makes sense(?).

  8. Well, the City won't burn...Maybe. Local news reporters in the street are doing their best to fan the flames with the same question being repeated over and over and over again. This isn't the verdict you wanted, is this justice? Keep poking them with this and they'll blow a gasket.
You are right about the sentencing. Each charge of aggravated battery carry's a six year minimum. If they are consecutively, that's pretty much a life sentence. If he is sentenced to serve them concurrently, they'll go berserk.
IMO, the verdict seems justified. Dumbass cop only needed to shot him once, not sixteen f'n times.
Supposed to rain like hell tonight in Chicago and all day tomorrow. That should keep a lid on things, hopefully.
