Cheesecake Factory won’t make April rent because of coronavirus restrictions

    They Furloughed 41,000 workers. Tilman Fertitta's Landry's inc. owns the restaurant chain. This interesting because he was recently interviewed where he explained that he always leverages his current restaurants in order buy others. If he has used other businesses as collateral than he may loose more than Cheesecake Factory.

    3,283,000 + 41,000 = 3,324,000 and counting. I estimate 6 million+ by April 3.

    I just got lunch there today. They had 5 employees at the front counter and 6 customers in line. "Lunch rush" I guess. They truly didn't need that many up front. 2 people would've been more than enough. A cashier and a food runner.

    Related Group is the largest landlord in NYC, in April only 20% of their tenants paid rent.
