I have spent many hours looking for a solution before beginning this thread on ET. I have observed that Chicago was a very expensive location for a VPS, compared to other cities. I want to avoid AWS, Google and the like. Colocrossing (although in Chicago) is not a vps provider. Chicagovps.net (although a colocrossing customer) does not not provide vps in Chicago

The link you have provided says Are you a Web Hosting or VPS provider looking to take advantage of the extensive network ColoCrossing has to provide? www.chicagpvps.net have taken them up on their offer.
